Back in England, if you couldn’t tell by Nigel’s mask. This sculpture of a nurse in Brampton Park, Newcastle-Under-Lyme, was made to commemorate the 100-year-anniversary of the First World War. The nurse has received a letter telling her that a family member has been killed on the frontlines and was inspired by a real local nurse, Vera Brittain (1893-1970).
