Mast Mastery
June 28, 2023
30 hours into the race, our main mast was compromised due to a shroud attaching the 1”-thick steel cable to the mast getting sheared off. 15 minutes later, our second cable loosened and we began to lose it. We had to act quickly to prevent our main mast from falling over.
