Senior Project Manager

Location: NYC or Raleigh/Durham, NC

Position Overview

We are seeking a seasoned and client-focused Senior Project Manager to join our agency and lead client relationships, project execution, and strategic initiatives. The Senior Project Manager will play a crucial role in ensuring client satisfaction, driving project success, and contributing to business growth. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in account management, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead and mentor a team.

Responsibilities

1. Client Relationship Management:
    • Serve as the main point of contact for assigned clients, building and nurturing strong relationships based on trust, transparency, and exceptional service.
    • Understand clients' business objectives, needs, and challenges to deliver tailored solutions that align with their goals.

 

2. Project Leadership:
    • Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of integrated marketing campaigns, creative projects, and other initiatives for clients.
    • Collaborate with internal teams, including creative, digital, and content, to ensure projects are completed on time and within scope.

 

3. Strategic Planning and Guidance:
    • Work closely with clients to develop strategic marketing plans, identifying opportunities to achieve their objectives and aligning agency services accordingly.
    • Provide insights, recommendations, and innovative ideas to drive client success.

 

4. Budget and Timeline Management:
    • Manage project budgets, timelines, and resources to ensure projects are executed efficiently and within agreed-upon parameters.
    • Monitor project progress, identify potential roadblocks, and proactively address issues.

 

5. Team Collaboration and Leadership:
    • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure client expectations are met and exceeded.
    • Lead and mentor account team members, providing guidance, feedback, and opportunities for professional growth.

 

6. Campaign Analysis and Reporting:
    • Monitor campaign performance and KPIs, providing regular updates to clients and leveraging data to optimize strategies.
    • Prepare insightful reports that highlight results and provide recommendations for continuous improvement.

 

7. New Business Development:
    • Identify upselling and cross-selling opportunities within existing accounts, contributing to revenue growth.
    • Participate in new business pitches, presenting the agency's capabilities and expertise to potential clients.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or a related field; Master's degree is a plus.
  • 6-7 years post-college experience at a marketing firm or agency.
  • Proven experience as an Account Manager or Senior Account Manager within a creative agency setting.
  • Strong understanding of marketing, branding, and digital strategies.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport and manage client relationships effectively.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
  • Strategic thinking and the ability to translate client needs into actionable strategies.
  • Leadership experience with the ability to guide and mentor a team.
  • Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in project management software and tools.
  • A client-centric mindset with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
  • Attend client meeting, trade shows, and events as needed.
