Responsibilities
1. Design Leadership:
- Lead and mentor a team of designers, providing guidance, feedback, and fostering a collaborative and innovative design environment.
- Set a high standard for design quality and ensure that all design outputs are visually compelling, engaging, and aligned with brand guidelines.
2. Creative Direction:
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to conceptualize and develop design solutions for a range of projects, including digital, print, branding, and marketing materials.
- Provide creative direction and oversee the execution of design concepts, ensuring they meet project objectives and resonate with the target audience.
3. Visual Identity and Branding:
- Develop and maintain a consistent and cohesive visual identity across all touchpoints, adhering to brand guidelines and ensuring brand integrity.
- Contribute to the evolution of the brand’s visual language and identity in response to changing market trends and business needs.
4. Independently Handle Projects:
- Manage design projects from concept to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, and resource allocation.
- Coordinate with internal stakeholders, external vendors, and partners to ensure timely delivery of design assets.
5. Design Production:
- Create and produce a wide range of design materials, including graphics, illustrations, layouts, presentations, and digital assets.
- Apply a user-centered design approach to ensure that design solutions are intuitive, functional, and aesthetically pleasing.
6. Market Research and Trends:
- Stay updated on design trends, industry best practices, and emerging technologies to incorporate innovative ideas into design projects.
- Leverage market insights to make informed design decisions and recommendations.
7. Quality Assurance:
- Review and provide constructive feedback on design deliverables to ensure accuracy, consistency, and alignment with project goals.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communication, or a related field; Master’s degree is a plus.
- 6 years post college experience at a design firm, studio, or marketing firm
- Proven experience as a Senior Designer or similar role with a strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design work.
- Proficiency in industry-standard design software, such as Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign).
- Strong understanding of design principles, typography, color theory, and visual composition.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively convey design concepts and rationale to both creative and non-creative audiences.
- Leadership experience with the ability to inspire and mentor a design team.
- Strong project management skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects, meet deadlines, and prioritize tasks.
- Ability to manage high-volume work to meet tight deadlines are critical.
- Understanding of digital and print production processes.
- A proactive and collaborative attitude with the ability to work effectively within cross-functional teams.
