Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and implement a strategic sales plan that aligns with business goals and targets for revenue growth.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the sales team to achieve and exceed sales quotas.
2. Client Relationship Management:

- Identify and engage potential clients in the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research institutions.
- Build and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their needs and position our solutions effectively.
3. New Business Development:

- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for growth within the life sciences sector.
- Develop and execute strategies to acquire new clients and expand market share.
4. Sales Presentations and Negotiation:

- Deliver persuasive sales presentations, demonstrations, and proposals to clients, showcasing the value of our products and services.
- Lead negotiations and close deals to secure contracts and partnerships.
5. Market Insights and Analysis:

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitive activities, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market dynamics.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
- Present sales data and progress to senior management on a regular basis.
7. Cross-Functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with marketing, product development, and scientific teams to align sales efforts with product offerings and ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide input on product enhancements based on client feedback.
8. Client Feedback and Relationship Management:

- Gather feedback from clients to improve service quality, address concerns, and ensure long-term satisfaction.
- Monitor client relationships and work to strengthen partnerships over time.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in a life science discipline; MBA or advanced degree is a plus.
- 6-7 years post-college experience at a marketing firm or agency.
- Proven experience in life science sales, including a track record of meeting or exceeding sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the life sciences industry, including pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and research sectors.
- Excellent leadership skills with the ability to lead and motivate a sales team.
- Strong presentation, negotiation, and communication abilities.
- Strategic thinking with the ability to identify and pursue new business opportunities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market data and trends.
- Proficiency in using CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
