Responsibilities
1. Sales Strategy and Leadership:

- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies to achieve revenue targets and market expansion goals.
- Lead and inspire a sales team, providing guidance, training, and mentorship to ensure consistent performance and professional growth.
2. Client Relationship Management:

- Identify and engage potential clients within the pharmaceutical, biotechnology, and medical device industries.
- Establish and nurture strong relationships with key decision-makers to understand their research and development needs.
3. New Business Development:

- Identify new business opportunities, market trends, and potential areas for growth.
- Drive the acquisition of new clients and partnerships through targeted outreach, networking, and strategic sales efforts.
4. Proposal Development and Negotiation:

- Collaborate with the team to develop compelling proposals that align with client needs and showcase the organization’s capabilities.
- Lead negotiations with clients to secure contracts, pricing agreements, and terms beneficial to both parties.
5. Market Insights and Competitive Analysis:

- Stay informed about industry trends, competitor activities, and emerging opportunities to inform sales strategies.
- Provide insights and recommendations to leadership based on market dynamics and competitive landscape.
6. Sales Forecasting and Reporting:

- Prepare accurate sales forecasts, performance reports, and analyses to guide strategic decision-making.
- Present sales data and progress to senior leadership on a regular basis.
7. Cross-functional Collaboration:

- Collaborate with marketing, scientific, and operational teams to align sales efforts with service offerings and ensure client satisfaction.
- Provide input on marketing campaigns, product development, and service enhancements based on client feedback.
8. Client Feedback and Relationship Management:

- Collect feedback from clients to improve service quality, address concerns, and ensure long-term satisfaction.
- Monitor client satisfaction and retention, taking proactive measures to strengthen relationships.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in life sciences, business, or a related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
- 10 years post-college experience at a marketing firm or agency
- Proven track record of success in CRO sales, including demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets.
- Strong understanding of the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industries, clinical research, and CRO services.
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and guide a sales team.
- Effective communication and interpersonal skills, including negotiation and presentation abilities.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to analyze market trends, data, and competitive information.
- Strong business acumen and strategic thinking to drive growth and navigate complex sales processes.
- Proficiency in CRM software and sales analytics tools.
- Willingness to travel as needed to meet with clients and attend industry events.
