Alcami was created by the merger of two multi-modality CDMOs – AAI Pharma and Cambridge Major Labs. American Capital Partners had acquired the businesses and engaged us to rename them and develop an integrated go-to-market strategy.
Strategic Approach
That’s Nice worked with a new, experienced leadership team installed at the merged company to evaluate the seven facilities and the service offering and build a compelling story under a new unified brand. A large budget was allocated to ensuring that everyone in the industry knew the name Alcami in less than 12 months.
Meeting & Exceeding KPIs
The merger and rebrand transformed a loss-making business with diminished, fragmented brand equity into a high value, integrated CDMO. Alcami was subsequently acquired by another private equity firm, before being sold to a third for $1.5 Billion.
