Thats Nice was selected as a new global agency of record for DSM Pharmaceutical Products following an agency review process in May 2008. The business group was seeking to do messaging strategy work and update the visual marketing presentation of its four business units – DSM Pharma Chemicals, DSM Pharmaceuticals, DSM Biologics and DSM Exclusive Synthesis.
An in-depth strategy process analyzed categories of key information for the business group and each unit, including existing conditions, business objectives and goals, market profile and needs, the competitive environment, and differentiating factors.
Unifying communications for our business group enabled the business development team to present the single face of DSM to the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical markets.

The results of the marketing strategy analysis led to recommendations on messaging that would be focused on meeting market needs and heightening the understanding in the marketplace of DSM Pharmaceutical Products positioning and value.
Tactical marketing began with an initial rollout of materials to support the 2008 CPhI trade show, held in Frankfurt in September / October. The updated visual presentation focused attention on DSM Pharmaceutical Products presence, and aligned closely with the corporate positioning in place as a business group of DSM.
As global agency of record, Thats Nice is responsible for ongoing marketing tactics and public relations to support DSM Pharmaceutical Products in its activities in North America, Europe and Asia. This includes a calendar of trade shows in each market for the four business units, and global deployment of tactics focused on strategic objectives.
