
Nigel Walker is Managing Director and was the founder of That’s Nice LLC in 1995. With more than 15 years of experience as an entrepreneur in creative management and sales & marketing, he harnesses the strategic marketing communications capabilities of That’s Nice to help Fortune 500 companies launch new products and increase sales growth throughout North America, Europe and Asia.
Nigel’s primary role at That’s Nice is in taking the new business opportunities with the right prospects for That’s Nice through to successful client relationships who gain the most benefit from the agency. He uses his experience to instigate timelines, marketing plans, budgets, and creative development that align with the clients’ goals and objectives. He manages some of the key accounts and also supports the other directors and senior staff in their objectives for account management, creative development, and operational stability, as well as managing a staff of more than 30 in the New York office encompassing a wide range of talents and cultural diversity.
Nigel has experience in markets including pharmaceuticals, fine chemicals, food and nutrition, health & personal care, building materials, decorative consumer products, entertainment, and information technology. His business and client background also covers Six Sigma in marketing, channel marketing, and supply chain marketing from manufacturer to consumer. He has managed and directed brand repositioning projects for over 100 international companies and handled the marketing communication planning and activities for 30-50 companies each year since 1995.
Prior to launching That’s Nice, Nigel held Art Director positions at several marketing and advertising agencies. He managed teams of designers and his work was recognized with many industry awards, as well as serving the strategic goals of a wide range of diverse clients. Nigel designed and launched the first non-Department of Transportation signage system for pedestrians, cyclists and rollerbladers in New York City, which was implemented on a waterfront landscape rejuvenation project in 1998. The system has since been implemented in locations throughout New York’s boroughs and has won seven international signage awards.
Mark Allen is Strategy Director and a partner at That’s Nice LLC, having helped establish the company from its inception in 1995. Mark’s role involves the development of strategies for marketing communications with clients, as well as interpretation of their business and marketing goals to ensure these are the foundation of tactical communications developed by creative teams at That’s Nice. He also manages several key accounts and contributes to new business development.
Mark has worked as a creative director and copywriter at agencies in Europe and the United States, serving needs for strategic marketing communications, advertising, and public relations on accounts including General Motors, Fiat Group, Alfa Romeo, Hertz, Honeywell International, Sun Microsystems, Cisco Systems, Dow Jones Group, and many more.
Strategic objectives for these clients have varied as widely as the products. They have included sales and product training programs for national sales teams, national product launches, trade show strategies including the British Motor Show and several global pharmaceutical shows, and both brand development and sales support initiatives increasing sales growth and equity in North American, European and Asian markets.
Many projects featuring Mark’s written content and/or direction have been honored with awards and industry recognition, as well as appearing in various media. Mark also held a senior marketing position at the global corporate headquarters of National Quality Assurance (NQA), one of the world’s top three certification agencies for quality management systems, environmental management systems, and occupational health & safety.
Mark was responsible for conceptualization and development of messaging, marketing communications and advertising strategies relating to the international standards ISO 9000, ISO 14001, QS 9000, BS 5750, and OHSAS 18001. He was the author/editor of two comprehensive books called “The Guide to Certification” and was certification-trained to serve as NQA’s technical expert for advertising and marketing companies.
In publishing, Mark has held the positions of Editor and Assistant Editor on national consumer magazines, as well as Sub Editor on a sales and marketing business title. He has also written content for permanent historical interest signage systems installed on four landscape rejuvenation projects in New York City. These have been bestowed with seven international awards.
Prior to his career as a writer and strategy director, Mark spent five years as a Professional Golfer. He is a PGA-qualified professional and held Class B membership of the British Professional Golfers Association. His employer and mentor throughout his training was the Head of Coaching and Chief Examiner of the PGA at the time – Doug Smith, a former PGA Captain and Chairman, and Ryder Cup Referee. Mark has consulted on corporate golf day organization and gave coaching clinics at Westchester Country Club on two occasions for the British American Chamber of Commerce.
Subsequent to his professional qualification during the three year training program with the PGA, Mark gained his further professional qualifications at the London School of Journalism and has gathered valuable education and experience from a range of professional development programs throughout his career. He also received distinctions while studying Marketing Strategy & Branding at New York University. Mark is married and lives in New Jersey.
Carole Del Signore joined That’s Nice as Business Manager in 2007 after several years of association with the company on print projects in her role as a Customer Service Representative with a printing company. Carole’s primary role is managing print production and color management for home décor clients, as well as printing for That’s Nice’s broader client base.
With many years of experience in the home décor market, Carole serves as an account manager for That’s Nice in this market. She has also taken on a key role in Nice Gift LLC since its inception in 2007.
Prior to joining That’s Nice, Carole worked for a number of years for two printing companies as a Customer Service Representative, where her experience in home décor was strengthened as it was a key client market. She liaised with customers to facilitate production of wallpaper and fabric books. Her role also included trafficking and reviewing artwork and color management.
Carole was also previously a Production Manager for a manufacturer of children’s books and coffee table books. In this role, she worked with major publishers such as Penguin, Scholastic, Disney, Hyperion, and Houghton Mifflin.
She was also a Production Manager for Legotorio Editoriale Giovanni Olivotto (LEGO) – a prestigious Italian book manufacturer that produces children’s books and coffee table books. Carole liaised between New York publishers and printing / binding plants in Italy on classic books including Where’s Waldo and a Mercer Mayer & Dorling Kindersley series for Disney Hyperion.
Carole’s formative background was as a designer in a small advertising agency, working with magazine publishers on layouts and materials for special events.
Carole has a bachelor’s degree from Rutgers University. She is married and lives in New York City with her husband and two young sons.
Seth Norman Greenberg is Director of Motion Graphics for That’s Nice, which is a service that was expanded during 2007 as a result of the association with Stern Greenberg Productions.
This production company was established by Seth with his partner, Nissan Stern, in 2004. Stern Greenberg Production sold its first pilot, a reality TV show, to a major network in 2006. The company is continually working on new ideas for television and other media development.
For That’s Nice, Seth leads the expanded capability in motion graphics, which offers combinations of video, animation, dynamic graphics and content in a presentation format. This can serve web pages, file formats for laptops and flat screens, DVDs, and podcasts or other multimedia needs. Added expertise in film and video production supplements That’s Nice’s experience in web design and animation to further support objectives in corporate video, instructional video, promotions and websites.
Seth’s background is in his family business, The Pavillion Agency. This is a high-end staffing agency that caters to influential business leaders, celebrities, political leaders, diplomats, dignitaries and international royalty.
He was responsible for creating new business opportunities, including a highly successful baby-nurse division, which provides temporary post-partum care for families and their newborns.
Seth is originally from Philadelphia but has lived in New York City for 15 years. He is married and lives on the Upper East Side.
Brian Pierce Photography has an association with That’s Nice as the exclusive photography service for more than 10 years. This has given Brian an in-depth knowledge of a wide range of clients in all of the markets served by That’s Nice.
Brian plans and executes location and studio photography to establish a library of exclusive, proprietary images that becomes a valuable asset to any organization. Royalty-free stock images support this service but the ubiquity of usage in some cases means they cannot compare with exclusive photography. The success and beauty of the results are as a result of Brian’s dedication to problem-solving and a passion for the photography.
With a unique understanding and insight into what clients want to achieve, and no qualms about doing what it takes to achieve it, Brian is as comfortable shooting in our own studio as he is in on location at a production facility anywhere in the U.S.
Brian’s experience encompasses high end photography for marketing and advertising, with long-term clients including Lancóme, Bacardi, Gap, AOL, Unilever and Dewars. He has also worked with products, facilities and personnel as subject matter in our home décor, specialty and fine chemical, industrial, retail and non-profit markets.
Prior to more than a decade of experience shooting, Brian learned his trade assisting some notable high-end and celebrity photographers, and managing aspects of location shoots.
His formative background includes five years serving his country in the Coast Guard, specializing in Search & Rescue operations and HAZMAT Response.
Brian is married and lives in New York City.
